Building an email list is an essential part of your overall content marketing.  After all, you're not subject to the social media "algorithms" and you get a direct line straight into a future customer's inbox.

Pretty good deal, huh?

Except that email marketing has changed over the years, and your audience is probably pretty protective of their inbox.  They're not going to give their email address away to just anyone.

You've got to offer them some real value before they'll let you into their personal email inbox.

That's where creating a really good lead magnet (or "freebie") comes in.

This is your chance to:

  • Offer real value and unique insight

  • Let your prospects get to know (and trust) you

  • Stay top of mind when they are ready to buy

When done right, it's a win-win situation.  They get free value, you get a chance to continue the conversation in their inbox.

In this workbook, you'll strategize:

  • How to attract the right kind of prospect (what are you ultimately trying to sell?)

  • What kinds of goal or dreams can you help your prospect achieve? What kind of pain points can you help them resolve?

  • How to choose a lead magnet topic that is compelling, specific, and actionable - without overwhelming your audience.

The name of the game is to provide a value that's unique to YOU.  Most businesses have plenty of competitors. Why should your prospects work with you?

If other brands are out there wasting a prospect's time with a fluffy, low-value lead magnet, this is an opportunity to stand out.

Don't worry about "giving too much away for free."

If you keep it short, simple, and very specific to a particular aspect of an important topic, you'll earn the trust and interest of your reader.  They will be much more likely to look forward to your next email, and the next, and the next!
